About

Mission Statement

We started Cheryl’s Home and Family with a simple mission: care should begin at home. As parents and children caring for our kids and parents, we realized that there was a need for high-quality, beautifully-designed, unique products to help provide dignity and care for all ages.  We understand that every generation has different needs when it comes to comfort, safety and quality of life. We are committed to bringing you practical and appealing products that will benefit the whole family.

Value Statement

At Cheryl’s Home and Family, we believe that support and community are at the heart of an individual’s well-being. We also believe that family is defined differently by different people. We aim to create a space that will support all types of families through connectivity, comfort, humour (whenever possible), and practical solutions. Our goal is to simplify and enhance your life and the lives of your loved ones.

With love from our family to yours.

Cheryl Hickey

Founder
Cheryl Hickey

“For more than 20 years Canadians have invited me into their homes and now I get to be in people’s homes in a different way, one that is personal. I’m excited for this journey together”.

Veteran television personality Cheryl Hickey has been on the airwaves for more than 22 years. Often referred to as Canada's sweetheart, Canadian Screen Award nominee, and the host of ET Canada and the new series Big Home Overhaul crisscrosses the globe to interview the biggest stars and deliver the latest entertainment news to Canadians.

Born in the small town of Shallow Lake, Ontario, and raised in Owen Sound, Hickey credits her success to her family.

“Family has been the heartbeat of everything that I've done." Cheryl Hickey

In 2016, the mother of two launched Cheryl Hickey Family and the much-loved baby product, Arm Here For You. Three years later, Hickey partnered with her incredible team to rebrand the company to Cheryl’s Home and Family, focusing on innovative, safe, and effective products for everyone at home - from children to grandparents to pets. Cheryl contributes to product selection, development, and creative marketing.

If a product doesn’t pass the “Cheryl Test”, you won’t see it on the site.

“Cheryl’s Home and Family is about taking care of the entire family, no matter what your family looks like. As a mother of two (plus my fur baby) and the daughter of two incredible parents, I know firsthand what it is like to be in the sandwich generation. Inspired by my own life experiences and seeing the needs of others, I decided to combine forces with my amazing partners to create and bring to market innovative and thoughtful baby, senior, and pet products. I’m looking forward to improving the lives of others ...with love, from my family to yours”.

Meet the Team

Michelle Hickey-Clark

President of Seniors Product Development

Michelle Hickey-Clark is Cheryl’s sister. She is a Behavioural Support Nurse Specialist and has spent the last 25 years working with seniors, supporting them in their homes, in retirement living, and in long term care. Currently living in Prince Edward County with her husband Steve and kids, she is focused on educating other health care providers and family members in various areas of Dementia care. Michelle’s compassion also stems from the direct experience of having a family member dealing with the disease. Now, more than ever, she recognizes the need for products geared towards seniors. She is thrilled to have partnered with an incredible group of individuals who are motivated to produce and make available products for the entire family.

“As a mother of 3 and a Nurse working in the senior space for the last 25 years, I know the demands families face daily, caring for both the young and aging. Knowing what products are out there for seniors, I believe there is room to do better and that is why I jumped at the chance to be part of creating Cheryl’s Home and Family. I’m eager to change the dialogue around seniors and create unique products I know can make a difference in their quality of life.”

Tammy Zilberberg

President of Baby Product Development

“After buying and selling baby products for over 20 years, I understand the importance of quality, function and style that consumers want and deserve. This is why I joined Cheryl and the rest of the team to help develop a new range of useful and visually-appealing products that will benefit all members of the family as they grow.”

Tammy Zilberberg is the CEO and co-founder of Kidcentral Supply Inc., a leading wholesaler and distributor of baby and maternity products. Tammy found early success when she fell in love with the Canadian-designed-and-produced baby shoes Robeez, that not only look great but stay on little feet. Within a very short time, Tammy was able to expand the brand’s territory and contribute significantly to the success of the shoemaker. Recognizing that customers were looking for more quality products beyond shoes, Tammy co-founded Kidcentral Supply Inc. in 2001 with husband and CFO, Boris Zilberberg, and has been supplying quality retailers in Canada with unique and innovative baby and children’s products ever since.
